Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through AHA
AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
CPR/AED/First Aid certified through AHA or ASHI
The CPR, AED, and First Aid courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For CPR, AED, and First Aid courses, students will receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
Remote CPR/AED/First Aid certified through ASHI
This is the same course as our base level CPR/AED/First Aid certification with a few minor changes. The American Safety & Health Institute will ship the hands-on skill components directly to your home. While you wait for them to arrive, you can complete a guided video lesson plan at your own pace. Then, once you have completed the guided videos and received the hands-one skill components, have a virtual video meeting with a Pittsburgh Heart, LLC instruction to finish the skills portion of the class. Upon successful completion, you will receive your digital certification card via email.
