How will I receive my certification?
All certifications are issued electronically. You will receive an email with a link to claim your e-card.
When will I receive my certification?
You should receive your certification after completing the class by 5:00 pm the next business day.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express both online and in person. You may also pay with cash in person as well.
Is Basic Life Support the same as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers?
Yes, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class, better known as BLS for HCP, got a name change. The AHA felt that the term “Healthcare Provider” could be both exclusory and confusing. So the new name is just Basic Life Support or BLS. Don’t be alarmed by the new name, this still is the same certification course.
What is the minimum age to learn CPR?
Pittsburgh Heart, LLC does not mandate a minimum age requirement for learning CPR. The ability to perform CPR is based more on body strength than age. Studies have shown that children as young as nine years old can learn and retain CPR skills.

Do you travel to Schools, Hospitals, or doctor's offices?
Yes, please contact us with your needs.
Are your certifications through the American Heart Association?
Yes, Our instructors are certified and affiliated with the American Heart Association. We are also able to issues certifications not only from the American Heart Association but also from the American Safety and Health Institute. Please check when booking your class to ensure you receive the correct certification.
Do you offer non-certification classes?
Yes, the knowledge of knowing CPR can make a difference. Please contact us for pricing.
What is your refund policy?
Pittsburgh Heart, LLC will not issue a refund to anyone who does not cancel and/or reschedule by phone or email at least 4 hours before the start of the course. If you are going to be late for the course, please call and let us know. Anyone who is more than 15 minutes late and has not contacted us will be considered a no show and will not be issued a refund. We can not admit anyone to the course who is more than 30 minutes late. If you need to reschedule, we offer a one-time free course rescheduling. Any additional rescheduling will cost $25 for each time you reschedule. You must inform us 4 hours before the original course start time and submit your rescheduling request no more the seven days after your original class date. If you fail to provide us with your next preferred class date within this time frame, You will be entered as a cancellation. You will not receive a refund or be able to reschedule after that time. No refunds will be issued for any class that has been rescheduled from the original course time. No refund will be issued once the course has been completed regardless if you pass or fail the course.
