Lawrence X. Sullivan Jr, MD, FACS, FACC

Lawrence X. Sullivan |r. received his medical degree from the University
of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Case
Western Reserve University Hospitals and his general surgery residency at the
University of Texas in Houston, where he also served as chief general surgical
resident. In addition, he completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the
Medical College of South Carolina.
Dr. Sullivan is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, The American
College of Cardiology, The American College of Chest Physicians and The Society
of Critical Care Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the National Board of
Medical Examiners, the American Board of Surgery and The American Board of
Thoracic Surgery. In addition, he is certified in Added Qualifications in Surgical
Critical Care from the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Sullivan is a member
of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, The Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic
Surgery, and the Pittsburgh Thoracic Surgical Society.
His areas of interest include aortic aneurysms, aortic valvular disease (stentless
valve replacement, homograft valve transplantation), aortic endoluminal stent
grafting and videothoracoscopic lung surgery.
